An Award-Winning Private Chef in Bath
Dan’s passion for professional cooking began when he started working as a kitchen porter at the age of 15.
After studying catering at Exeter College and developing his skills in AA Rosette kitchens, Dan moved to Bath and began building an outstanding reputation within the city’s hospitality industry.
In 2010, he achieved three AA Rosettes while working at Homewood Park Hotel and was also named Chef of the Year by the hotel group’s owners.
Dan later became Executive Head Chef at The Gainsborough Bath Spa, where he was awarded three AA Rosettes for a second time. His work also took him to hotels in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, where he further developed his passion for Asian ingredients and flavours. (Yuzu by Dan Moon)
His distinctive cooking style combines classical flavours, Asian influences and beautiful modern presentation.
Private Dining in the Comfort of Your Own Home
Yuzu by Dan Moon allows people to enjoy the quality and excitement of a leading restaurant without leaving their own home.
Dan works closely with each customer to create a bespoke menu based on their tastes, preferences and the type of occasion they are planning.
On the day, Dan can travel to the customer’s home, holiday accommodation, office or Airbnb and prepare the chosen menu for their guests. He brings the essential cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery and napkins required to deliver the experience.
Dan takes care of the cooking, serving and clearing away, allowing the host to relax and spend the evening with their friends, family or colleagues.
Private dining experiences are available for parties of between six and 27 people, with Dan primarily covering Bath and the surrounding areas while also travelling further afield by arrangement. (Yuzu by Dan Moon)

Dan and his team have experience catering for everything from smaller, intimate weddings to larger events with more than 50 guests.
