A Message from Our Founder, Paul Turner

My name is Paul Turner and I founded Calibre100 with a clear and simple vision. I wanted to create a business network that genuinely cared about the people in the room. A place where professionals could meet, connect, learn, and build meaningful relationships in an environment that reflects the quality of their ambitions. From the outset, it was important that Calibre100 contributed positively to the wider community, which is why three percent of our profit is donated to the remarkable Bath Rugby Foundation.

My experience at traditional networking events was often disappointing. Too many were built to benefit the organisers rather than the members. Basic hospitality was overlooked, key decision makers were rarely present, and the atmosphere frequently lacked the professionalism and purpose that business leaders expect. In many cases, these events felt more like informal socials than genuine business forums, and it was difficult to see where the value lay.

Calibre100 was created as an answer to that problem. I wanted to build a network that set a higher standard, one that offered exceptional hospitality, meaningful opportunities for engagement, and a polished environment where serious business conversations could thrive. A core component of our success is the inclusion of fantastic and well respected speakers who elevate every event and deliver insight that members can immediately apply to their own business journey.
