Calibre 100 is proud to welcome Victoria Humphries, a polar adventurer, three-time Guinness World Record holder, mountain climber, marathon runner, author and Bath-based businesswoman. Victoria became part of history in 1997 when she and her mother joined the first all-female expedition to the North Pole. They faced shifting ice, –40°C temperatures and a moment of genuine danger when both fell into the Arctic Ocean. Their survival depended on teamwork, resilience and staying calm when every instinct screamed otherwise.

Victoria’s message is grounded in lived experience, not theory. She shares why success in business or life is rarely linear, why setbacks are inevitable and why small, consistent steps matter more than perfection. Her talks are free of jargon and built on honesty, humour and the belief that ordinary people are capable of extraordinary outcomes.

Beyond adventure, Victoria brings significant commercial leadership. She was Managing Director of Teachit and is now CEO of the Royal Photographic Society. She also serves as Chair of Governors in Gibraltar and a trustee for a UK group of schools.
